that the bigger your down payment is, the less is the amount of interest paid in the end.

The minimum down payment for the purchase of a home depends n a number of factors like the type of home, but it is at least 5%of the purchase price of the home for the permanent residents

Le "Québécois" une langue à part ?

Ce n'est pas une langue à part, la langue du Québec est le français. A l'écrit, il n'y a presque pas de différence entre le Québec et la France. Un texte rédigé au Québec ne diffère quasiment pas d'un texte produit en France. Les vraies différences sont marquées à l'oral. La prononciation sera la caractéristique principale : ts pour t et dz pour d. L'emploi de certains termes spécifiques peut dérouter.  En effet, quelque soit le pays, le langage parlé est souvent plus familier et populaire que le langage écrit. Dans le cas du Québec, ce langage populaire est appelé Joual (déformation du mot cheval).

What does one do, when he/she wants to turn his life around? Apparently, one goes and downloads a couple of forms and tries to move to another country, with a different background and whole bunch of different people. :)

If the material part is easier to deal with, the emotional one is sometimes too much to bear. Learning to be patient is a good thing, and if you are very impatient, you should definitely try to immigrate to Quebec! :)

What I have come to realize over the past year, is that the whole process is accessible; you just have to read everything carefully and put some effort into it. What people don’t warn you about is that you have to be a very PATIENT person, to go through all of this. There are many sharp edges and downfalls that we need to cope with.
